For the second time in a week, Verizon Wireless has activated a new cell site in Connecticut.
The latest site boosts high-speed wireless data coverage and capacity along Routes 6 and 72 in Bristol and the Terryville section of Plymouth, as well as surrounding areas in Hartford County, officials said.
A week ago, Verizon said activated a new cell site in West Haven, increasing service along I-95, Boston Post Road, New Haven Avenue, Jones Hill Road and the surrounding area.
Verizon said the goal of its ongoing expansion is to add wireless broadband connectivity to every one of its cell sites in New England.
