Verano Holdings Corp., a Chicago-based cannabis operation, announced this week it’s finalized the purchase of a dispensary and cultivation center in Connecticut.
The company, which has cannabis businesses in 11 other states, announced Wednesday it completed the acquisition of Caring Nature LLC, which includes its active dispensary on Aurora Street in Waterbury.
Verano also announced the acquisition of Connecticut Pharmaceutical Solutions Inc., which includes an active, 216,532-square-foot cultivation and production facility in Rocky Hill.
In consummating the transactions, Verano acquired all of the issued and outstanding equity interests of both companies, Verano officials said.
Verano also recently purchased a dispensary, Willow Brook Wellness LLC, in Meriden that closed in October. In total, the company has operations in 12 states and has 93 dispensaries and over 1,000,000 square feet of total cultivation capacity in the country.
Verano announced the acquisitions in November.
