Dennis Veilleux has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Colt’s Manufacturing Co. LLC in West Hartford.
Veilleux joined Colt’s, 545 New Park Ave., in 2006 as the executive director of engineering and was soon promoted to vice president of manufacturing at Colt Defense. He later was named as the chief operating officer for Colt’s Manufacturing.
Veilleux’s career includes positions with GE Armament, Ruger and FN Group (FNMI, Winchester and Browning).
He succeeds retired Lt. Gen. William M. Keys, USMC, who will continue to serve Colt as president and chief executive officer emeritus and as a member of the governing board.
Colt’s Manufacturing designs, develops and manufactures firearms.
