VC investment in Conn. totals $103.4M in Q2

Venture capital investment in Connecticut companies increased substantially in the second quarter of 2007, according to the most recent MoneyTree survey. Nine Connecticut companies received a total of $103.4 million in venture financing in Q2, an increase of 142 percent from $42.7 million invested in five companies in the first quarter of this year. This is the second year in a row that Connecticut investments were more than $100 million in the second quarter. Nationally, this quarter has been the strongest since Q3 2001.
