United Technologies Corp.’s Farmington-based Carrier unit, which provides heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, said Wednesday that it acquired a controlling interest in China’s Shandong Fuerda Air Conditioner Equipment Co. Ltd., The Associated Press reports.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Fuerda, which makes water source and geothermal heat pump products, posted 2010 revenue of more than $30 million. It has more than 300 employees, a manufacturing facility and 23 sales offices covering 20 provinces in China, Carrier said.
