UTC Aerospace Systems, a subsidiary of Hartford’s United Technologies, said it has signed a letter of intent to provide air conditioning and cabin pressure control systems to China’s AVIC Xi’an Aircraft Company.
The systems will be used in the company’s MA700 regional turboprop planes, which contain Pratt & Whitney Canada engines.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
UTC has also provided de-icing systems, lighting, propellers and other equipment to AVIC for its MA60/600 fleet.
