United Technologies Corp. spent nearly $1.2 million in the second quarter to lobby the federal government on stimulus spending, aircraft maintenance, climate legislation and other issues, according to a recent disclosure report.
The Hartford parent of jet-engine maker Pratt & Whitney and Carrier environmental systems and other businesses, also lobbied on defense spending, carbon monoxide alarm standards, energy efficiency for buildings, hydrogen fuel cells, business visas and other issues.
In the April-June period, the company lobbied Congress, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency, according to the report filed July 20 with the House clerk’s office. (AP)
