United Technologies Corp. said it has brought back yet another former executive, this time as president of Sikorsky Aircraft.
Robert Leduc, 59, retired last year after 35 years with UTC in leadership roles at Pratt & Whitney — where he led the company’s large commercial engines business — as well as Hamilton Sundstrand and UTC Aerospace Systems.
Leduc succeeds Mick Maurer, who has been promoted to senior vice president of strategic projects at UTC. Both men will report to CEO Gregory Hayes.
Maurer will work with Mike Dumais, senior vice president of strategic planning, to complete UTC’s review of strategic alternatives for Sikorsky. UTC said last month that it was considering spinning off or selling Sikorsky.
Leduc is one of several senior executives that have returned to UTC following the appointment of Hayes as CEO in November.
