Hartford conglomerate United Technologies Corp. announced Thursday its intention to sell the West Hartford pump and engine control systems business unit of Goodrich Corp. for $236 million.
Cleveland aviation firm TransDigm Group Inc. will acquire the unit when the deal closes in late 2012/early 2013.
The divestiture of the pump and engine control unit was one of the requirements of the regulatory approval for UTC’s $16.5 billion acquisition of North Carolina-based Goodrich.
