Hartford’s United Technologies Corp. hosted an event with the U.S. Department of Energy today in Windsor Locks to explore ways for companies to save energy.
The Save Energy Now event  started Wednesday with more than 100 manufacturing companies gathering at UTC’s Hamilton Sundstrand headquarters to discuss what works in cutting energy consumption and cost.
United Technologies first joined the Save Energy Now campaign in 2009 and has reduced the energy use and greenhouse gas emissions from facilities, including at subsidiaries Pratt & Whitney, Hamilton Sunstrand, Sikorsky Aircraft and Carrier.
