Long Island filtration equipment maker Pall Corp. said Monday that it hired Akhil Johri of Hartford conglomerate United Technologies Corp. to be its new chief financial officer, The Associated Press reports.
Johri, 51, will join the Port Washington, N.Y., company May 1. He has worked at UTC for 26 years and most recently was CFO of its propulsion and aerospace systems business.
Pall’s former CFO Lisa McDermott left the company March 10 to pursue other interests. President and CEO Larry Kingsley has been interim CFO and will continue to do so until Johri assumes his role with Pall.
