United Technologies Corp. has donated $1.5 million to Hartford’s Connecticut Children’s Medical Center to construct and staff a family resource center, the company announced.
The center, which will bear the UTC name, will be located on the hospital’s main campus, and will provide space for families to spend time while a child goes through treatment.
it will be staffed by a medical resource librarian and will have a library and space for reading, watching movies, and sending emails.
Construction will start next month and be complete this year, UTC said.
