Hartford’s United Technologies Corp. today announced its completed the proposed purchase of a California-based wind energy manufacturer.
Clipper Windpower develops wind energy technology, manufactures turbines and works to create wind farms.
The $222 million acquisition adds to UTC’s portfolio of energy efficient and power generation systems while demand increases for efficient, clean energy. Clipper will benefit from the financial stability and UTC wind turbine technology.
