UTC Aerospace lands Cessna contracts

The North Carolina aerospace arm of Hartford conglomerate United Technologies Corp. won two contracts from Kansas’ Cessna Aircraft Co. to supply landing gear and interior component for Cessna’s newest business jets.

UTC Aerospace Systems, based in Charlotte, scored a contract to provide wheels, brakes, and brake control systems for the new Citation Longitude business jet, and another contract for the interior cabinetry and composite panels for the Cessna Latitude business jet.

The first delivery of the Longitude is scheduled for late 2017 while the release schedule for the Latitude was not announced.

Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
