UTC Aerospace, a subsidiary of Hartford’s United Technologies Corp., announced three contracts today with the U.S. Army, General Dynamics and a Swiss aviation company.
The Charlotte subsidiary said its Connecticut ISR team will provide laser detecting sets and parts under a five-year, follow-on Army contract worth as much as $208.5 million.
The company said it’s also been selected by General Dynamics Land Systems to develop and build a generator subsystem for an upgrade to the Abrams ECP1 tank. UTC will deliver prototypes in the second half of 2014.
Finally, UTC said it would provide VIP seating, in-flight entertainment and cabin management systems for a Boeing Business Jet 3 owned by Jet Aviation in Switzerland. The project includes high-definition video system and touch screens, a digital audio system and an Ethernet control network.
The value of the latter two contracts was not disclosed.
