Cambria Hotel has opened its second location in Connecticut near the Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk in South Windsor.
The upscale hotel is a brand of Choice Hotels International. The state’s first Cambria Hotel opened in New Haven earlier this year.
The South Windsor location spans four stories with 108 rooms at 1000 Long Leaf Lane. It provides easy access to retail stores and restaurants that are part of Evergreen Walk, an outdoor shopping plaza that is under development.
The 73,276-square-foot building sits on a 2.7-acre property. The appraised value is $7.89 million, according to the town’s assessment records.
The Cambria Hotel Manchester South Windsor opened in October. It features amenities including an indoor heated pool, outdoor patio with firepits, rooms with LED lighting and Keurig coffee machines, spa-like bathrooms with Bluetooth mirrors, on-site dining, meeting and event spaces, and a fitness center.
Cambria is also opening hotels in Austin, Texas; Portland, Maine; and Orlando. There are more than 60 Cambria hotels across the United States, with more than 70 under development.
The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk is a pedestrian-friendly outdoor plaza that resembles a traditional New England village. A groundbreaking for a Whole Foods Market and Shake Shack took place in June.
