East Hartford aerospace manufacturer Pratt & Whitney said UPS will open a 600,000-square-foot third-party logistics center in New Hampshire to provide parts and supplies to Pratt’s engine assembly and test sites.
Under the agreement, UPS will provide parts receipt, storage, inventory management and other services. Pratt said the arrangement will help it ramp up its PurePower engine line and allow it to focus on core business operations.
The Londonderry facility is expected to open next June.
UPS has been a Pratt supplier for 10 years. The parcel company provides logistics services to Pratt at facilities in Georgia, Florida, Texas and the Netherlands.
