Managed care company UnitedHealth Group Inc., with operations in Hartford, will host two fitness challenges at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show in Law Vegas.
Participants at the show Jan. 6-9 will compete for an iPad and an Xbox 360 through the two challenges. The first challenge gives 750 pedometers to see who walks the most over two days. The other is a hula hoop challenge.
“Technology is giving us new ways to monitor and track our health and engage in exercise activities,” said Dr. Richard Migliori UnitedHealth Group executive vice president, in a statement. “Offering these fitness challenges is a great way to showcase those innovations while giving CES attendees the opportunity to experience them firsthand and have some fun.”
