UNITED WAY HONORS MANCHESTER COUPLE FOR YEARS OF DEDICATION

The United Way recently honored Dr. Sedrick Rawlins, and his wife, Alyce, of Manchester, with a community service award at its 87th annual meeting in Hartford. The couple, pictured, was honored for decades of volunteer service and community work in civil rights, arts and health care. Alyce was the first African American professional at Aetna when she was hired in 1956.
