More than 500 local company volunteers and leaders gathered at the Pratt & Whitney hangar in East Hartford last week to celebrate the official conclusion of the 2011 United Way Community Campaign. To date, the campaign has raised $25.3 million. The state’s largest private employer, United Technologies Corporation, raised $6.4 million.
