United Way campaign kicks off in Torrington

Employees from Alcoa Howmet in Winsted spoke about their commitment to community service and learned how their United Way contributions change lives when they visited Community Mental Health Affiliates’ Northwest Center in Torrington for a United Way of Northwest CT campaign kickoff luncheon Sept. 5. Alcoa Howmet, a global supplier of precision-machined turbine airfoils for the aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets, is a corporate sponsor of the United Way of Northwest CT’s annual giving campaign.
