United Technologies spent $2.61M lobbying in 2Q

United Technologies Corp. spent $2.61 million in the second quarter to lobby the federal government, according to a recent disclosure report, The Associated Press reports.

That’s up from the $1.19 million that the aerospace company spent in the year-ago period, and less than the $2.93 million it spent in the first quarter.

The Hartford-based company lobbied Congress on defense spending, tax reform, trade and other business issues during the April-to-June period, according to the report filed July 20 with the House clerk’s office.
