Greenwich-based United Rentals Inc. named William B. Plummer as chief financial officer to replace Martin E. Welch, effective Dec. 1.
Welch, 60, is resigning to pursue other opportunities but will remain during the transition phase, the equipment rental company said late Monday.
Plummer, 50, previously served as CFO at media company Dow Jones & Co. (AP)
