New Haven electric utility United Illuminating will replace its systems control and data acquisition program to enhance compliance, reduce costs, and increase reporting, the company announced on Wednesday.
UI hired Atlanta industrial software provider Ventyx to replace its legacy SCADA program with a new single and secure platform. The central system is designed to make system operations more efficient and easier with better information.
The financial terms were not disclosed, although the announcement said the contract was worth multi-million dollars.
The utility also hired Ventyx partner Industrial Defender to provide the security for the program.
