The United Bank Foundation has granted $5,000 to help fund a new exhibit at the Connecticut Trolley Museum in East Windsor that will be designed to tell the story of the trolley era in an enhanced and interactive fashion. The Museum, which was established in 1940 to preserve a few trolley cars from across the country, now has over 70 pieces of rolling stock, tens of thousands of railroad-related documents and artifacts, and other equipment from the past. Pictured at check presentation, from left, are: Fred Stroiney, board chairman of the CT Trolley Museum; Frank Rossano, motorman/trainer; and Steve Kulcsar, from United Bank’s Broad Brook branch.
