Danbury’s Union Savings Bank has opened its 29th western Connecticut branch at 411 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe.
In connection with the opening, the thrift owned by its depositors pledged $5,000 to the Monroe Historical Society and pledged to donate $10 to the Monroe Food Bank and Project Warmth for every account opened through Aug. 31.
Raymond T. Giovanni was named assistant vice president and branch manager.
