Shawn Gregory has joined Danbury-based Union Savings Bank as vice president, construction lending manager.
In her new role, Gregory manages the bank’s construction portfolio and business development for commercial lending. She is based at the bank’s Ridgefield office at 100 Danbury Road.
Gregory, a Stamford resident, has more than 17 years of experience in commercial mortgage, construction, C&I lending and new business development. She also has experience in credit administration, risk management, policy development and underwriting.
Gregory most recently served as chief credit officer, senior vice president for Fieldpoint Private Bank and Trust.
Peter Maher, executive vice president, chief lending officer, called Gregory a “strong addition.”
“Her proven success in the industry and her wide variety of skills will help us deepen existing relationships and expand our construction and commercial lending business,” Maher said.

Law firm hires four new associates
Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP has added four new associate attorneys to the firm.

Jeffrey M. Beck joins the firm’s litigation practice and is based in its Waterbury office. Beck will practice in a variety of areas, including employment, healthcare and education.
Meghan F. Buckley is a member of the firm’s litigation practice, based in the New Haven office. Prior to joining Carmody, she served as a law clerk for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division, where she focused on environmental enforcement.
Daniel C. Chapple joins Carmody’s real estate practice and is based in the firm’s Stamford office. Daniel focuses in the area of land use law. Prior to joining Carmody, Chapple served as a law clerk at the Connecticut Appellate Court for two years.
Maria L. Laurato is a new member of the firm’s litigation practice, based in its New Haven office. Prior to joining Carmody, she served as a judicial law clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut.
