Danbury’s Union Savings Bank is offering customers the ability move money person to person via email or cell phone.
The bank says its USB Person to Person (USB P2P) further expands its online banking and bill pay service.
Money can be sent to anyone they know using only an email address or mobile phone number. Because it is part of USB’s Online BillPay service, P2P offers the same secure process as a regular online banking transaction.
Funds typically move directly from a customer’s Union account to the bank account of whomever the customer chooses as the recipient within one business day, regardless of where they bank, the institution said.

The bank has $2.5 billion in assets.
