Union Savings Bank has hired Thomas A. Ballachino as its new vice president, senior commercial real estate lender.
Ballachino, a Cromwell resident, will be responsible for origination and closing of commercial real estate loans and new business development for the Danbury-based bank.
Peter Maher, executive vice president, chief lending officer for Union Savings, said, “Tom has deep experience in all aspects of commercial real estate lending, and we are very pleased that he’s joining our commercial services team.”
Ballachino has more than 34 years of experience in commercial real estate lending. He most recently worked as managing director for Axiom Capital Corp. in Cromwell.
Ballachino is a member of the Society of Office & Industrial Realtors and the Real Estate Finance Association.
