Hartford’s Unified Theater has promoted Laura McLelland to CEO.
McLelland, who was previously the nonprofit’s chief program officer, takes over for founder Micaela Connery.
Connery, who founded the youth theater in 2002 when she was a high school sophomore, is leaving her position to pursue a public policy degree at Harvard University. She will remain on as a strategic advisor.
