UNH DEDICATES RESIDENCE HALL IN HONOR OF BERGAMIS

The University of New Haven in New Haven recently dedicated a residence hall located on its main campus in honor of Samuel S. Bergami Jr. and Lois Bergami, longstanding supporters of the university. Bergami Hall, formerly called New Hall, features 225 beds as well as student lounges, a game room, a mailroom and a cafeteria. It also houses several administrative offices, a high-tech classroom and a coffee shop. Pictured are, from left, Alexandra Hart, president of the UNH Class of 2013; Patrick Kelland, president of the Undergraduate Student Government Association; West Haven Mayor John Picard; Sam and Lois Bergami, President Stephen H. Kaplan and his wife, Anemone Kaplan-Schweizer, and Philip Bartels, chairman of the UNH Board of Governors. Sam Bergami Jr. received his executive MBA from UNH in 1985 and today is president and chief executive officer of Alinabal Holdings Corp. in Milford.
