November’s national unemployment rate stayed stable at 4.7 percent and nonfarm payroll employment is on the rise.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported job growth in professional and technical services, health care, and food services. The average hourly earnings rose by 8 cents since October and the unemployment rate has remained unchanged for the third month in a row. The bureau did see decline in manufacturing employment and housing-related industries.
