Unemployment claims drop

The number of first time applications for state unemployment benefits nationwide fell by 9,000 to 297,000, the lowest level since the second week of January, the Labor Department said. It marks the fourth straight week that unemployment claims have fallen. The previous week’s initial jobless claims were revised upward to 306,000.
