UIL prices public offering for $186M in proceeds

New Haven’s UIL Holdings Corp. said it has priced its public offering of 5 million shares of its common stock at $37.25 per share, which would result in gross proceeds of $186.3 million.

UIL, which is the parent of four Connecticut utility companies, plans to use the proceeds to pay down short-term debt and for general corporate purposes.
