The Connecticut Business and Industry Association has elected James P. Torgerson, president and CEO of UIL Holdings Corp., as its board chairman, it announced.
He succeeds Donald Droppo Jr., CEO of Sandy Hook’s Curtis Packaging.
Torgerson is a board member of Yale-New Haven Hospital, the Edison Electric Institute, the American Gas Association and the Business Council of Fairfield County.
CBIA also elected the following board vice chairs: Donna R. Galluzzo, CEO of HMS Healthcare Management Systems Solutions of Wallingford and Robert S. Sobolewski, CEO of ebm-pabst of Farmington.
