Udolf Properties, a privately held real estate firm, said Wednesday it has acquired a CVS-anchored commercial building on Farmington Avenue in West Hartford for $2.8 million.
The firm has purchased 1240 Farmington Ave., a 13,630-square-foot retail building located in what is known as the Sunset Triangle, a commercial hub in the center of West Hartford.
The deal was completed off-market, meaning the property was not publicly listed for sale. Town land records list the sale price as $2.8 million. The seller was Stonemeadow Realty LLC, which is controlled by John S. Stout, who lists a Farmington business address in state business records.
The property, anchored by CVS pharmacy and also home to the Kitchen Plate restaurant, features prominent frontage along Farmington Avenue and on-site parking.
With the purchase, Udolf Properties now owns and manages four properties within the Sunset Triangle, including 1235 Farmington Ave., home to a Stop & Shop supermarket; the adjacent retail plaza at 1234 Farmington Ave.; and 1245-49 Farmington Ave., which includes tenants such as Valvoline, Pak Mail and a mix of office and retail users.
