UConn men’s basketball coach Dan Hurley will be the keynote speaker at Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Hartford’s signature fundraising event this year, according to an announcement.
Hurley, who recently led his team to the NCAA national championship, will speak at the nonprofit’s Help and Hope breakfast at the Hartford Golf Club on Nov. 17.
The event is from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and includes an auction, breakfast and networking.
Proceeds from the event will support Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Hartford’s programs and services throughout Hartford, New Haven and Litchfield counties.
“We can’t thank Coach Hurley enough for supporting our mission,” Catholic Charities CEO Marek Kukulka said. “He and his family are shining examples of dedication and commitment that we feel perfectly illustrate the theme of this year’s fundraiser, which is fatherhood.”

WTNH news anchor Dennis House will emcee the event.
Conor Geary, the on-field and on-court host at Hartford Yard Goats and UConn games, will handle auctioneer duties.
