The UConn men’s basketball team will visit the White House on May 26 for a ceremony honoring its win of the 2023 NCAA National Championship.
UConn announced Saturday that the team will be honored by President Joe Biden. The time will be announced later.
Players and staff will travel to Washington, D.C., on Friday morning and return home after the ceremony.
It will be the UConn men’s basketball program’s fifth trip to the White House. In 1999, they were honored by President Bill Clinton, in 2004 by President George W. Bush, and in 2011 and 2014 by President Barack Obama.
