UConn grad Salce is Pitney Bowes’ treasurer

Stamford mailing- and document-processing equipment maker Pitney Bowes Inc. named Debbie Salce its vice president and treasurer.

Salce reports to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Michael Monahan.

Salce, who also was elected an officer of the company, succeeds Helen Shan, who will leave Pitney for insurance broker Marsh & McClennan Companies Inc., effective on Easter.

Salce joined Pitney in 2001 as director of capital markets. Before that, she was an investment banker for seven years with Morgan Stanley, Bear Stearns and Citigroup.

Salce holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and political Science from the University of Connecticut, and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University in New York.
