The UConn Foundation has appointed Daniel Sullivan as its new senior associate vice president for health giving.
In the role, Sullivan will serve as chief fundraiser for UConn Health and lead philanthropic initiatives for the Schools of Pharmacy and Nursing. He joins the foundation after serving as vice president and chief advancement officer at the Parkland Health Foundation in Dallas.
His arrival coincides with the public launch of the $1.5 billion “Because of UConn” campaign, which places a strong emphasis on UConn Health. Sullivan will be tasked with expanding donor engagement, corporate partnerships and philanthropic support for programs such as the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Calhoun Cardiology Center and the Center on Aging.
Over his career, Sullivan has helped raise more than $100 million for healthcare causes and has led teams to secure more than $300 million in philanthropic commitments, according to the UConn Foundation.
