UConn extends biz school accreditation

UConn has extended its accreditation in business and accounting with AACSB International, a global accrediting body.

According to AACSB, the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degrees in business and accounting, UConn is among only 5 percent of universities and colleges that has earned the accreditation.

There are 762 business schools in 52 countries and territories that have earned AACSB Accreditation. Similarly, 183 institutions hold an additional specialized AACSB Accreditation for their accounting programs.

Achieving accreditation is a process of internal review, engagement with an AACSB assigned mentor, and peer review. During this multi-year review process, schools focus on developing and implementing a plan to align with AACSB’s Accreditation standards. To realize accounting accreditation, an institution must first earn AACSB Business Accreditation.
