UConn among Kiplinger’s 100 best college values

The University of Connecticut is among the nation’s best 100 public colleges that deliver excellent academics without saddling pupils and their parents too deep in debt, Kiplinger magazine says.

UConn ranks 34th — and is No. 1 among New England’s public colleges and universities — in the February issue of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance list of top public colleges.

New York, North Carolina and Virginia are home to the top 10 schools that offer first-rate curricula while keeping their in-state and out-of-state costs to a minimum.

Among New England schools, University of Massachusetts-Amherst ranked 79th on Kiplinger’s, and the University of New Hampshire was 83rd.
