A Delaware-based provider of last-mile delivery logistics said it is now offering services in Hartford, Windsor and Stamford.
DeliveryCircle allows companies and shoppers to schedule deliveries of goods through its website and mobile app. Like ride-sharing services Uber and Lyft, DeliveryCircle’s drivers are independent contractors.
The company says it offers business-to-business, business-to-consumer and consumer-to-consumer deliveries.
A spokeswoman for DeliveryCircle said the company’s pricing model makes the most sense for those who ship high volumes. Its marketing is especially tilted toward businesses who would like to offer fast deliveries but haven’t been able to justify developing that capability in house.
The company, which is now operating in nine states, said Wednesday that it’s working with “a handful” of Connecticut retailers so far.
