Flow Tech, Inc., a 100% employee-owned provider of engineered HVAC equipment and systems, recently welcomed U.S. Senator Chris Murphy, State Senator Saud Anwar and South Windsor Mayor Craig Zimmerman to its headquarters to discuss employee ownership and Flow Tech’s experience as an ESOP company.
Senator Murphy visited as he considers cosponsoring the American Ownership and Resilience Act (AORA), S. 1645, bipartisan legislation designed to make employee ownership more accessible by improving access to capital for businesses transitioning to ESOPs.
Flow Tech has been 100% employee-owned since 2021. During the visit, employee-owners shared how the ESOP has strengthened the company’s culture, rewarded employees and helped preserve local ownership. The delegation also toured Flow Tech’s Demo Lab and learned about technologies supporting safer, healthier and more efficient buildings throughout New England.
