Two new restaurants are opening in Hartford this week.
A Portuguese-style grilled chicken restaurant, Piri Piri Q, will open in Parkville Market on Wednesday. The grand opening is set for 1 p.m.
Also, on Tuesday a new Turkish restaurant, City Kebab House, opened at 207 Main St. A ribbon-cutting with city officials was set for 12 p.m.
Piri Piri Q was co-founded by Carlos Mouta, a prominent developer who owns Parkville Market, and Chef Rui Correia.
They say their goal is to provide tasty and nutritious alternatives to traditional fast food. The restaurant will serve chicken that is free from preservatives and hormones, along with a variety of healthy sides.
Correia previously ran a popular Portuguese restaurant Douro in Greenwich from 2009 to 2022.
City Kebab House, located near the corner of Park and Main streets, offers a blend of Turkish and Uzbek cuisine.Â
