An investor duo has purchased two more motels on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington.

The Carrier Motor Lodge at 2660 Berlin Turnpike and the nearby Friendly Acres motel at 2650 Berlin Turnpike sold last month for a combined $2.64 million. The buyers were Jay and Rasik Patel, state records show, who also recently purchased a third motel at 1800 Berlin Turnpike for $500,000.

The seller of both motels was the Edward B. Manner Trustee.

The Carrier Motor Lodge is the larger of the property with 88 rooms, according to CoStar. It was built in 1990. Together the properties occupy 2.5 acres.
