Two join Quinnipiac engineering faculty

Quinnipac University in Hamden has appointed two members of the founding faculty of its new engineering program.

Justin W. Kile will be an associate professor of industrial engineering in the new program which will offer its first classes this fall. Kile comes to Quinnipiac from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where he was coordinator of the industrial engineering program. He holds a doctorate and a master’s degree in industrial and operational engineering from the University of Michigan.

John J. Reap will be an assistant professor of mechanical engineering. He moves to Quinnipiac from Virginia Tech, where he was an instructor of engineering. Reap holds a doctorate and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech.

Earlier this year, the state Board of Education granted the university licenses to offer programs in civil, mechanical, industrial and software engineering leading to bachelor of science degrees.
