The original Alfano law firm in Hartford was founded 25 years ago by Charles Alfano Sr., according to his son, attorney Charles Alfano Jr., who is a partner with the combined firm.

“I am proud to continue to provide the highest quality services,” he said.

John Laudati, also a partner, said the merger will allow the firms to provide more services for their clients.

“Every one of our partners has more than 30 years of experience, and we have been colleagues for almost as long,” Laudati said. “We’re pleased to be able to put our firms together to provide even more services for individuals, families and businesses facing legal challenges.”

Murphy, Laudati, Kiel & Alfano’s practice areas include commercial/business law, construction law, criminal law, estate planning, family law mediation, collaborative divorce, probate settlement & litigation, litigation, personal injury and real estate law.

The firm also includes attorneys Lawrence J. Kiel, Margaret Fogerty Rattigan, Steven M. Zelman, Rachel Kittredge Shipman and Jean E. Silverio. Neil Murphy, Jr., who received gubernatorial and judicial appointments for his litigation skills, is retired.
