Tunxis Celebrates Grand Opening of New Veterans’ OASIS

Tunxis Community College, joined by the General Federated Women’s Clubs of Connecticut and others from the Connecticut Community College system, celebrated the grand opening of a new Veterans’ OASIS on Sept. 16. The 432-square-foot OASIS, which stands for Operation Academic Support for Incoming Service members, provides a place for Tunxis student veterans to meet, study and socialize between classes.
