German machine-tool maker Trumpf Inc., which has extensive operations in Farmington, leased 141,000 square feet of industrial space in Newington.
Landlord Vernel Company L.P., of Redding, leased space in the 183,000-square-foot edifice built in 1960 at 81-85 Alumni Road, Hartford broker Colliers International said.
Trumpf makes and sells machine tools and laser cutters. Last year, Trumpf expanded its Farmington presence by adding 18,000 square feet to its training center, which now occupies a total of 40,000 square feet.
H&H’s $362K Farmington buy
Farmington’s H&H Refrigeration, a supplier of commercial refrigerators, has purchased for $362,000 a free-standing building on New Britain Avenue that will serve as its new home.
Andre and Maria Romano sold H&H the 3,520-square-foot building on 0.55 acres at 1814 New Britain Ave., a few blocks from its longtime home at 1451 New Britain Ave., said Rocky Hill broker Pearce Real Estate Commercial.
H&H has been in business since 1954.
C&W’s E. Hartford lease
C&W Facility Services Inc. signed for 466 square feet of industrial space in East Hartford.
The provider of janitorial and building-maintenance services leased space at 111 Roberts St. from landlord David Associates, said broker Colliers International.
Best Life’s new store
Best Life Hearing Center leased 1,451 square feet in Wallingford for a retail store.
Best Life Hearing LLC signed with landlord ZX 850 Westview LLC for the space at 852 N. Main St. Ext., Building 1, Suite C1, said broker Colliers International.
N. England Tool’s N. Britain lease
New-used machinery distributor New England Tool & Automation leased 3,800 square feet of space in New Britain’s Ellis Street Commons industrial complex.
Ellis Street Holdings owns the newly acquired 650,000-square-foot complex at 321-322 Ellis St., said broker Colliers International.
CHR adds Windsor space
Care provider Community Health Resources (CHR) signed for an extra 803 square feet of office space in Windsor’s Waterside Crossing corporate office park.
CHR leased the space at 2 Waterside Crossing, which also houses its administrative headquarters, from landlord Griffin Park Realty VV LLC, said broker Colliers International.
Schiff Law Offices’ relocation
New England collection law firm Howard Lee Schiff Law Offices signed for 13,208 square feet to relocate its headquarters to East Hartford’s Founders Plaza office complex.
The firm occupies 19th-floor space at 111 Founders Plaza from landlord East Hartford Merchant 99-111 Founders LLC, said tenant’s broker Colliers International.
The firm previously occupied East Hartford office space at 510 Tolland St.
Schneider Electric’s Rocky Hill lease
Schneider Electric USA signed for 1,451 square feet in Rocky Hill.
Office-furniture retailer West Elm Office LLC previously occupied the space it leased to Schneider at 1090 Elm St., broker Colliers International said.
